For the Kids

It is never too early to get kids interested in nature and the incredible world of bird watching! Kids are naturally curious and what makes bird watching with your children so much fun is their eagerness to learn. A good start for the young bird watcher would be to get books published for young learners and a small pair of inexpensive binoculars that can be adjusted to fit their small eyes. Take them on nature walks and show them how to adjust their own binoculars. Make a game out of seeing how many different birds can be found on an outing by taking a bird checklist and checking them off as they are spotted. You will soon have a young birder with a true appreciation of nature.
